OASE is an online video platform that’s available anywhere, anytime and on any device. Its short tutorial videos answer every question users may have about Microsoft Office 365 and Windows. The knowledge platform was launched two years ago – and today, it helps over 200,000 users learn new skills independently.

The match

The online video platform OASE continuously optimises the customer experience by offering a made-to-measure user platform. To achieve this, the OASE team joined forces with the Antwerp-based Internet of Things expert Bagaar. “We teamed up with Bagaar because their in-house experts are skilled in several areas”, says Nhu Truong, Competence Center Lead at OASE. In practical terms, Bagaar supports OASE with their frontend, backend and UX/UI expertise. “For complex online platforms like OASE, it’s a huge advantage to have all experts work under one roof. This way, no time is ever wasted on dealing with unexpected circumstances”, Nhu continues.

The challenge

OASE is an ever-evolving online video platform. This comes with some challenges. “To face these challenges, Bagaar’s experts developed a structural and content-related roadmap to serve as a guideline for OASE. This helped them filter out priorities and determine which tasks could be postponed”, says Nhu.

The Solution

In times when technology evolves at a rapid pace, the OASE platform wasn’t sufficiently future-proof. To remedy this, Bagaar’s experts reimagined the knowledge platform. One of Bagaar’s tasks was to redevelop the entire frontend and backend of the OASE platform. The experts also made structural UX/UI changes that significantly improved the user experience and set up the platform so that future functionalities can be implemented effortlessly.

Our added value

As mentioned above, Bagaar and OASE joined forces in 2017 to develop the new features for OASE 2.0, the new version of the platform that was rolled out at the end of last year. Since the companies have been collaborating for two years, Bagaar knows exactly what the OASE team wants and needs.

Lessons Learned

Bagaar doesn’t believe in a pure client-provider relationship; for large projects such as OASE, it’s crucial to work together as partners and to communicate clearly and smoothly. “We also opted to meet physically as often as possible. It improves our partnership and increases work efficiency”, Nhu concludes.
